The Bistroo Breakdown: Monthly Progress Report — March 2024

Every month, we publish a monthly update to our token holders and broader community. Welcome to the March 2024 edition. We’ve continued to set higher highs, with a record breaking number of orders, first-time users and new accounts. A pivot in our marketing efforts also took place, with a switch from a B2C focus, to a B2B focused approach.

General & Sales

  • In March, we broke records with the HIGHEST number of orders and gross transaction value. Moving up!
  • We’ve launched the BIST partner-program for the Netherlands and Belgium region, sign-ups will close today. Participants can earn up to $150 in BIST per referral! Please fill in the form if you’re interested in helping Bistroo find business users / merchants.
  • Our Pilot Program preparations are in full swing, with a release slated for early Q2. We want to have all bases covered for a smooth experience in new regions, hence why our Pilot Program will happen before a global launch.
  • The BIST boosted loyalty stamp-card is currently in development and expected to release early Q2 as well.
  • In March, the order volume has grown 104% year-on-year, and we saw the highest number of monthly orders to date.
  • 4615 first-time users placed an order in March 2024. That is a 113% increase in first-time customers year-on-year compared to March 2023, and the highest number to date.
  • 2015 new user accounts were created in March 2024. A year-on-year increase of 278% in new user accounts signed up on a monthly basis, and the highest number to date.
  • 35 Merchant were onboarded in March.
  • 40 deals were closed, compared to 35 in February.


In March we completely pivoted our marketing efforts from B2C to B2B. All of our time and effort will now be directed towards acquiring new merchants and helping existing merchants be successful. Here’s what we did:

  • Created our B2B customer persona’s.
  • Built custom landing pages for each persona.
  • Produced a merchant video testimonial.
  • Did two content shoots on location, shooting product photo’s and social content.
  • Set up and ran an emailmarketing prospecting experiment.
  • Iterated on the discount marketing experiment, adding a new tool to the merchants’ toolbox to acquire new customers.
  • Launched a P-Max campaign through Google focused on gathering merchant leads.
  • Produced 278 SEO-content pieces.
  • Produced an advertorial for a print and digital trade magazine for restaurant professionals.


  • Released a feature to give our merchants more insights into their customers.
  • Implemented an English translation for the Merchant Portal in preparation for
  • UI(X) upgrades for the establishment closing function.
  • Implemented SSR fixes for establishment pages, the consumer marketplace and city & SEO pages. This update greatly increases the app’s pagespeed and impact.
  • Design rework for city & SEO content pages.
  • Improved upon the receipt and implemented some fixes.
  • Released the Mr. Winston PoS implementation.
  • Implemented fixes for the refund dialog.
  • The consumer account page has been reworked.
  • Network issue detection has been added for the PoS device.
  • Added a product import search function.
  • The new merchant landing pages have been reworked. These are now at a stage that is close to being ready for launch.
  • Localisation infrastructure build in preparation for an international launch.
  • Datalayer fixes.
