Bistroo Breakdown for May 2021

With COVID measures slowly easing, May marked the moment for the market to return to a more normal setting. A first step to proving ourselves in a normalizing market. With team and partnership expansions and work on the merchant dashboard, consumer app and developer marketplace, we have a stacked Bistroo Breakdown for you!

Current Stats

Even though all the COVID-19 circumstances might have affected our platform launch and adoption after March 3rd 2020, we are looking forward to the changing market conditions to really show our worth. Our story has not changed due to COVID but market conditions certainly have. We keep building towards our vision of Bistroo as the global food commerce utility! To give you the rundown, we have:

  • Hired 2 full-time full stack developers
  • Hired 2 full-time sale professionals
  • Closed a partnership with New York Pizza
  • Closed long term media partnerships with Hi Label, Skoften.net and Horeca Magazine. They have a combined monthly reader base of over 10 million.
  • Hired a (digital) marketing expert
  • Introduced the Pilot Ambassador Program, through which we will use our community power to grow Bistroo.
  • Worked on more partnerships related to listings, marketing, PR and sales.

Development Updates

The Core V4 development process has been the main focus for the entire developer team this month. Currently we’re developing the first modules for the foundation of the Core V4 infrastructure.

Merchant Dashboard
For the dashboard, we are in the middle of the design process. Almost all wireframes are done. We have adapted the entire merchant flow towards user-friendliness and accessibility. We did this in close collaboration with our merchants. All feedback has been incorporated into a completely new functional design. In addition, our designer has started to transform the wireframes into a final design. The first pages are almost ready for implementation. Our frontend developers are currently busy building the new framework for the frontend dashboard implementation.

Consumer App
The Bistroo (web) app is also undergoing a total metamorphosis. The design implementation is nearly completed. Our backend and frontend developers worked on finalizing the first BETA version. Testing is the main occupation currently. Our growth hacker/developer is also working on performance optimization. In the coming weeks, we will start with user access testing.

Developer Marketplace
To take the first steps towards a full PaaS model and leveraging our community efforts, we started the framework for a Bistroo Developer Marketplace. In the near future, developers can sign up as Bistroo developers and develop apps on our open API. These applications accelerate the community growth process and international expansion. The approved applications are rewarded with BIST tokens, as stimulus for contributing to the process.
