The Bistroo Breakdown: Monthly Progress Report — October 2024

Every month, we publish an update for our token holders and broader community. Welcome to the October 2024 edition. This month, we launched sales funnel improvement projects, made significant strides with SEO, and introduced an expiration setting in the new ‘as soon as possible’ release.

General & Sales

With multiple projects running on the improvement of our sales pipeline during October, we have made significant strides to keep increasing onboarding as we head towards the Christmas period.

  • 7224 first-time users placed an order in October. That is a 234% increase in first-time customers year-on-year compared to October 2023.
  • 3186 new user accounts were created in October. A year-on-year increase of 199% in new user accounts signed up.
  • In October we had 39 new merchants going live compared to 25 in October 2023.
  • Additionally, we have scheduled 75 new appointments, compared to 56 appointments a year earlier.
  • We closed 39 deals, compared to 22 deals a year earlier.

Marketing

In September, we’ve been focusing on growth through partnerships and community activities. Next to that, we’ve celebrated our 5th anniversary!

  • Further campaign overhauls are in progress as we settle into our new email marketing system.
  • Made significant strides in our SEO efforts. With the focus on our Pages product, which provides the merchant with a whitelabel website for their business, we’re aiding merchants in directing as much search traffic to these pages as possible.
  • Improvements to our Google My Business support offering, which is an important extra channel that helps the merchant reach their audience directly.
  • Closed two more strategic crypto partnerships that will be announced soon.

Development

In the past month, development has released multiple updates:

Merchant Portal (POS)

  • Introduced the ‘as soon as possible’ expiration setting. This means that the order is closed automatically if it is not confirmed within 2 hours. The modal is then closed automatically and tagged as expired.
  • The merchant receives a warning for expired orders.
  • Adjustments to the ‘as soon as possible’ notification setting.
  • Optimized the use of the screen real estate by adding distribution and making the comments section conditional.
  • Quality of life improvements to security settings for merchant logins.
  • Improvements and bug fixes for revenue V2.

Merchant page

  • Introduced the multi-establishment setup.

Consumer web app

  • Introduced the ‘as soon as possible’ expiration setting.
  • Consumer receives an ‘order not confirmed’ message after it expires.
  • Tips are now displayed with the minimal order value.

API

  • Bug fixes to the refund emails.
