The Bistroo Breakdown: Monthly Progress Report — September 2024

Every month, we publish an update to our token holders and broader community. Welcome to the September 2024 edition. This month, we reached a major milestone with the launch of our partnership with peaq and the Bistroo Super Community Campaign.

General & Sales

This month brings some key launches that are integral to the next steps in our growth plan; the launch of our partnership with peaq network, a layer 1, DePIN focused blockchain.

Next to that, we continue to improve on our key metrics when it comes to user and merchant growth:

  • 6304 first-time users placed an order in September. That is a 228% increase in first-time customers year-on-year compared to September 2023.
  • Surpassed the 100,000 active users milestone!
  • 2582 new user accounts were created in September. A year-on-year increase of 402% in new user accounts signed up.
  • We had our best month ever in terms of onboarding, with 49 new merchants live compared to 20 in September 2023.
  • Additionally, we have scheduled 99 new appointments, while that was 64 appointments a year earlier.
  • We closed 42 deals, compared to 28 deals in September 2023.

Marketing

In September, we’ve been focusing on growth through partnerships and community activities. Next to that, we’ve celebrated our 5th anniversary!

  • Launched the Bistroo Super Community Campaign. This was a collaborative effort between 10 projects, led by Bistroo, with the goal of highlighting projects in the crypto space and leveraging each other’s communities to grow together.
  • Released the complete overhaul of our website and litepaper. We’re pleased to now have a website and litepaper that more accurately represents Bistroo’s current and future direction.
  • Announced and officially launched our partnership with peaq. The resources and partner projects that peaq provides will help us to build an ecosystem that rewards ALL contributors to the network.
  • Made further changes to our email marketing systems and campaigns as we move our operations to a new provider.

Development

In the past month, development has released multiple updates:

Merchant Portal/Pages

  • Created improvements to the feature that shows revenue to the merchants.
  • Delivery/takeaway as soon as possible feature V2 implemented.
  • Developed new pipelines for the merchant portal app.
  • Improved the look of the merchant pages, specifically the header, which now looks more streamlined. We’ve also implemented improvements for the merchant page on mobile and cleaned up the localisation.

Consumer web app

  • Localisation implementation for the native app.
  • Release of the ‘as soon as possible’ option. This option gives the restaurant a heads up that the customer doesn’t want to pick up the order at a specified time of their choosing, but rather as soon as it is possible. The restaurant gets a pop-up that allows them to give feedback as to what time as soon as possible is in their case.
  • Internalized pipelines as a replacement of Appflow.

API

  • Internalized the email flows as a replacement of our current email client.
  • Refactored discounts.

Homepage

  • Reworked the business landing page, specifically when it comes to some content pieces like testimonials.
