As we have entered 2024, the Bistroo team is thrilled to share our vision for the year ahead. In 2024, we are committed to transmuting the Bistroo ecosystem into a truly revolutionary platform that empowers both our valued BIST holders and the wider community of gastronomy enthusiasts. Our roadmap is packed with transformative initiatives that will redefine the way we interact with the culinary world, from enhancing user experiences and expanding our global reach to establishing BIST as a prominent player in the crypto and decentralized finance (DeFi) landscape.

Roadmap 2024

BIST-boosted loyalty program

We will roll out a digital in-app stamp-based loyalty program. One of the most basic but effective loyalty systems, truly tried and tested. On this card you collect digital stamps to reach your next discount event based on merchant-specific, or platform-wide, ordering. Holding BIST will increase the rate at which you receive stamps, thus you will reach the reward bonus faster.

Discount marketing

Reaching new consumers is always one of our goals. Consumers who are stuck in their habits are notoriously hard to reach. With the help of our merchants, we aim to reach specifically those consumers with a nice discount, in order to persuade them to order through Bistroo. This will open up a whole new audience segment we were previously unable to reach.

We will unleash, piloting the autonomous onboarding of business accounts in neighboring Belgium. We are aware of the many businesses who go cross-border too soon and fail to turn their non-domestic endeavours into a success. Therefore, we want to be thorough and mindful in our own cross-border ambitions; without sacrificing just that: our fiery ambition.

AI menu reader (Alpha)

Scheduled for a Q2-release is the Alpha version of the AI menu reader. One of the core problems we solve for restaurants is their trouble (generally speaking) in keeping up with the fast-paced digital world. Through our AI menu reader, entire menus can be digitized in a matter of seconds. This will eliminate yet another barrier for restaurants to autonomously join Bistroo as a merchant.

Instant payout feature

A new feature to receive your funds even faster! With instant payout restaurants receive their money the day after the order was processed. Talk about lightning fast! With BIST payments, any payout is instant of course, after confirmation of delivery that is!

Implementation referral and settlement contracts

With the Settlement Escrow Contract, you can transact directly with a merchant where payment settlement is protected by an oracle for take-away or delivery confirmation. The referral contract allows you to refer a friend, for which you’ll receive BIST when they accept the referral and sign up. These two contracts are important cornerstones of the utility for BIST and growth of the Bistroo ecosystem.

B2B Module Merchants

During this year we will be introducing a Merchant B2B sales-channel to serve bigger company customers. This process is different from a consumer process since there’s invoicing and debtor management, as well as delayed payments and VAT dynamics. We will handle all the technical aspects of this process for our merchants and they can focus on providing the best service to their business customers.

Order status tracker

Through an upgrade of the POS handheld device our merchants operate, merchant-consumer feedback will be possible. This will solve the most frustrating point in our consumer’s buying journey: waiting for your delivery order to arrive, without knowing an actual and updated ETA.

The order status tracker will give realtime updates to the consumer on the status of their order.

Embed NFT-loyalty system into user journey

Further on in 2024 we plan on making work of our NFT-loyalty systems. With NFTs currently going through the trough of disillusionment, we can prepare ourselves for the coming slope of enlightenment and the plateau of productivity, since much of the initial, especially loyalty, use cases still hold up. Bistroo has the same vision on NFTs it always has, namely as an enabler of loyalty-systems and ownership of perks. These loyalty-systems can operate both within the Bistroo brand as well as cross-brand.

Bistroo is in a favorable position to extend loyalty systems across brands and parties. Collaborations with restaurant chains or product distributors, like franchises or beverage suppliers, will result in campaign rewards for their brands or for benefits within the Bistroo ecosystem.

Bistroo Partner Portal

The Bistroo Partner Portal will become a place where partners sharing our vision can enroll themselves to help us attract and list new restaurant partners. In exchange, we offer generous compensation for these efforts that help us grow. The Bistroo Partner Portal is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.


The final project we would like to share with you is BistrooCapital. Short-term business credit-lines, or merchant cash-advance, may be provided to merchants in need of capital. Interest-payments and settlements are returned to the credit-providers, based on the subsequent GMV sold by the merchant through Bistroo’s ecosystem. A community lending pool will be set-up in which you utilize BIST to provide the necessary funding liquidity for the merchant that submitted the funding request. Based on the merchant’s historic performance and other key-indicators, factor- and interest rates are determined for its request. Each and every following sale transaction that is settled by the merchant within the ecosystem will contribute toward paying back the outstanding debt and the loan’s interest.
